Buy Helen's CD 'One Dream' !!

The CD was recorded with the fantastic Cleveland Jazz Orchestra playing on 9 tracks and my wonderful quartet on the other 7 (yes that's right you get 17 whole songs to enjoy!)
Rosemary Riddle (Nelson Riddle's daughter) gave me an arrangement of Zing! Went The Strings of my Heart' and gave me permission to record and perform it - what an honor! Apart from Judy Garland, no one has ever recorded this song - the famous Riddle arrangement is fabulous of course!
There are two original songs included on the CD including the title track 'One Dream' which from the feedback i've recieved seems to be really popular.
You may order the CD directly from my web site by clicking on the link below...I promise you won't be dissappointed. This will take you to my web site where you can hear clips from the recording before you decide to buy.

Sheraton, Jazz 28, GPS and news.....

Okay - so I've bought myself a GPS thingy to put in my car and it's kind of an interesting gadget. When it came to setting it up it asks to choose whom you would like to talk to you! Ha! how bizarre but oh yes, one gets a choice; do you want Debbie or Julie or David or whoever else they have on their list?.....well i'm certainly not having a man give me directions cause it'll take twice as long to get there AND if we do get lost -I'll have to ask which way to go!!!
I could choose an English person but I think to myself 'when in Rome' and I chose an American lady who seems very polite and nice and I understand her when she speaks.
She started off a little loud and I nearly jumped out of my skin when I was driving along, humming a tune when suddenly 'TURN LEFT!' she BOOMED and i nearly crashed the car - couldn't figure for the life of me where the voice was coming from - took me just a minute to realise and I said 'well there's no need to bloody shout!' and i found the volume button and turned her down. Then on that same trial run I decided to take 'the freeway'. Now, the word 'freeway' is not used in England AT ALL. We say either 'motorway' or, get this...'dual carriageway' (la di dah) so can you imagine my shock when I'm driving along and Debby (or whatever her name is) suddenly pipes up 'keep left and take the MOTORWAY'.....'what did you just say?' I said to Debby and pressed the button that makes her repeat her instruction. Sure enough she repeated it saying 'keep left and take the motorway'. 'Ha ha! - she knows I'm English' I said to myself out loud (as you do when you're in your car on your own!) Me and Debby are going to get on just fine. I asked her if she ate sausages or weinerrrs but she didn't answer!!
The great thing about these gadgets is that half way home if you fancy going shopping you can ask it where the nearest shopping mall is, or restaurant, or other point of interest. Doug's worried I'll just never get home cause me and Debby will be out galavanting!!!
