The CD was recorded with the fantastic Cleveland Jazz Orchestra playing on 9 tracks and my wonderful quartet on the other 7 (yes that's right you get 17 whole songs to enjoy!)
Rosemary Riddle (Nelson Riddle's daughter) gave me an arrangement of Zing! Went The Strings of my Heart' and gave me permission to record and perform it - what an honor! Apart from Judy Garland, no one has ever recorded this song - the famous Riddle arrangement is fabulous of course!
There are two original songs included on the CD including the title track 'One Dream' which from the feedback i've recieved seems to be really popular.

Hi there folks - what was I going to talk about this week? Hmmmm it wasn't the weather cause that's just not worth discussing. I told you about the mink in my garden. Thankfully he's gone but i'm not sure how many fish are left. I've been watching some of the basketball and wondering why (cause as most of you know, i'm fascinated by the sports 'fashion' or uniforms in the U.S.A) those lovely fit, tall, muscular gentlemen wear the baggiest of baggy shorts so us ladies are unable to appreciate their 'form' to it's full potential. Then one turns the channel to football and there are the largest chaps, wearing the tightest of lyrcra and when some of them turn with their backs to the tv it looks like two badgers are fighting in a sack!! I for one would like to protest and change the attire so that the basket ball players wear the lycra!! All those in favour say 'ay'!!!
Thank you for your votes to the Scene Magazine. I'm not sure where I am in the running but i'm invited to a ceremony on Feb 23rd where they will announce the winners so Doug and I have been practising our walk down the red carpet. Mind you, when I pretended to hold a microphone to Doug's mouth and asked 'what are you wearing?' (you know, like they do at the Oscars) he replied ' Macy's!' .....doesn't have quite the ring of Oscar De La Rente does it?!!
Stages is this Saturday and this is just a lovely room. PLenty of space - great food, a dance floor and the sound is great. For those of you who like to listen - this venue is ideal and it's great if you like to dance too. And FREE!!
