The CD was recorded with the fantastic Cleveland Jazz Orchestra playing on 9 tracks and my wonderful quartet on the other 7 (yes that's right you get 17 whole songs to enjoy!)
Rosemary Riddle (Nelson Riddle's daughter) gave me an arrangement of Zing! Went The Strings of my Heart' and gave me permission to record and perform it - what an honor! Apart from Judy Garland, no one has ever recorded this song - the famous Riddle arrangement is fabulous of course!
There are two original songs included on the CD including the title track 'One Dream' which from the feedback i've recieved seems to be really popular.

Soooo -how far off is Spring? I'm thinking 'trees in bud, flowers popping through, birds singing, balmy evenings ah yes, I can see it now - can you?' I'll tell you what I can see for sure - this strange creature who - up until we let our pond freeze over was popping out from under our deck and taking a dip in the pond and eating all our fish!!! Oh yes, he thought the Welch residence was the golden arches (that's Macdonalds in case you don't know) for MINKS!! YES A MINK!! I walked out whilst he was taking one of his afore mentioned fishing trips and he jumped out of the pond looking quite irritated that I'd caught him in the act. I whispered to him that i'd always wanted a pair of mink gloves and it was bloody cold enough to wear them right now and I haven't seen him since!!!!
Then I drive down the drive way to go run some errands and I get stuck in the pile of snow that the snow plough has so kindly left in the entrance of our driveway!! To my rescue....and I was really impressed by this, came this young lad of about 11 or 12 years old. His name was Josh and he, his sister, Mum and Dad live opposite us. Well Josh came running over with his shovel and proceeded to dig the damsel in distress out of the snow - what a honey!! I've bought him some goodies and I'm going to deliver them to his Mum and Dad and tell them what a great son they have!
