The CD was recorded with the fantastic Cleveland Jazz Orchestra playing on 9 tracks and my wonderful quartet on the other 7 (yes that's right you get 17 whole songs to enjoy!)
Rosemary Riddle (Nelson Riddle's daughter) gave me an arrangement of Zing! Went The Strings of my Heart' and gave me permission to record and perform it - what an honor! Apart from Judy Garland, no one has ever recorded this song - the famous Riddle arrangement is fabulous of course!
There are two original songs included on the CD including the title track 'One Dream' which from the feedback i've recieved seems to be really popular.

Happy Holidays to you all!
This will be my last email before 2009 arrives and a final reminder of what's left on the calendar!
We have Jingle Bell Swing coming up at the Akron Civic this Friday Dec 19th at 8pm. If you've seen the show before, this one is different! Each year I give it a face lift and we've had great reviews from the first 3 performances! So - Civic here we come and we hope you'll join me, the 17 piece Dave Stevens Big band with Dan Murphy on piano, Bryan Thomas on bass and Chris Baker on drums, the Solon High School show choir who rock the house and Santa Claus!!
Saturday the show moves on to Warren PA - tell any relatives or friends who live there to come and see us at the Struthers Library Theatre.
Then Sunday we arrive at NIGHTTOWN!!
THERE ARE TWO SHOWS! one at 5pm and one at 7.30pm. The show will be performed with my trio, and it's first for Nighttown as the Solon show choir will be singing in amoungst the audience! Santa is coming and he may be giving away Nighttown gift vouchers and it's going to be a whole lot of fun.
DO MAKE RESERVATIONS for Nighttown as there is limited seating available. Come early and enjoy dinner and the holiday atmosphere - we can't wait!
FRIDAY 26TH I will be at the Sheraton Hotel once again for anyone who wants to get out of the house and come and join myself, L.R Smith and George Lee - and that's it for me for a while - phew!!!
Doug, Dakota (the dog) and I are going to get a tree and finally get down to enjoying the holidays and a bit of time off although I have to say - performing these shows has been one of the highlights of my year.
Hope to see you this weekend my friends and thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your support through 2008.
