The CD was recorded with the fantastic Cleveland Jazz Orchestra playing on 9 tracks and my wonderful quartet on the other 7 (yes that's right you get 17 whole songs to enjoy!)
Rosemary Riddle (Nelson Riddle's daughter) gave me an arrangement of Zing! Went The Strings of my Heart' and gave me permission to record and perform it - what an honor! Apart from Judy Garland, no one has ever recorded this song - the famous Riddle arrangement is fabulous of course!
There are two original songs included on the CD including the title track 'One Dream' which from the feedback i've recieved seems to be really popular.

Hellooooo everybody and I hope you're keeping snug and warm by the fire cause I am!! The only one enjoying this weather at the moment is Dakota my husky dog who is in husky-heaven running around in the snow!
So - I can't believe that that time of year has once again arrived and the holiday show that you should see is just around the corner !- oh yes it's coming and it's coming fast! So - if you haven't got your tickets yet then I hope you will and the date for your calendar is FRIDAY DECEMBER 19TH - that's the date for the big Ohio show of Jingle Bell Swing to be held at the breath-taking Akron Civic Theatre. If you've not been inside this jewel of a theatre then I'd say the trip is worth it just to see inside - it really is a sight to behold. And we hope to make your trip worth while with our feel-good swinging Christmas show. There are new songs - some of your old favourites - the Solon Show Choir will once again be rocking the house along with the 17 piece Dave Stevens Big Band!
Then we are also excited to be performing a more intimate Christmas cabaret at Nighttown on Sunday Dec 21st and there will be two shows - one at 5pm and one at 7.30pm - I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND reservations for this night as there is limited seating. The Solon Show choir will be joining us at Nighttown too - they'll sing all around the table so it should be really fun! Along with me for that evening will be Dan Murphy on piano, Bryan Thomas on bass and Mark Gonder on drums. Brendon Ring the owner of Nighttown will star as Santa Claus!!
Coming up on Dec 12th I will be appearing at a new venue for me and that is a charming restaurant called Russo's. Russo's is in the Peninsula area on old Route 8 and the chef and owner David Russo spent many years in New orleans studying the culture and creole cooking - i've had dinner there and it was FABULOUS! He has opened a charming room at the back of the restaurant for music. In the music room there is a more limited menu available but equally as delicious and eventually there will be a special pizza menu too as he is installing pizza ovens specifially for this reason. It's a cozy, intimate room and there is also a full service bar. Join us if you can on the 12th December at 8pm.
So - my dresses are ready for the holiday shows - just the final finishing touches are being made to the hooks and zips to ensure there will be no wardrobe malfunctions!! Now I have to get out my Thanksgiving recipes and work out what to cook this Thursday.
I hope you all eat too much and have a wonderfully, happy day with all the people you love.
Then on Friday night you can come and shake it all off and join me at the Sheraton where we will once again be sharing some of my favourite songs and comparing Thanksgiving stories!!
