The CD was recorded with the fantastic Cleveland Jazz Orchestra playing on 9 tracks and my wonderful quartet on the other 7 (yes that's right you get 17 whole songs to enjoy!)
Rosemary Riddle (Nelson Riddle's daughter) gave me an arrangement of Zing! Went The Strings of my Heart' and gave me permission to record and perform it - what an honor! Apart from Judy Garland, no one has ever recorded this song - the famous Riddle arrangement is fabulous of course!
There are two original songs included on the CD including the title track 'One Dream' which from the feedback i've recieved seems to be really popular.

Hi there everyone and welcome to another newsletter - don't the weeks just fly by?..heck it's nearly the middle of April and I just got done celebrating New Year's Eve!!! Well - actually I didn't cause Doug and I were party poopers on New Year's Eve!! We went to West Point Market and bought lots of goodies. Then had a kind of 'carpet-picnic' and by 10pm I was ready for bed!!
So - now it's April and coming up this week is a FREE and great fun afternoon concert called Women in Jazz. This is part of the wonderful Tri-C Jazz Festival. Click on the link below to find out about all the wonderful shows going on.
Next Friday 25th we're back at the Sheraton at 8.30pm with L.R Smith and the ever popular George on bass! On the 26th my quintet(with added drummer and sax) will be part of the Tree City Annual Ball - this will be our third year and it's a lot of fun PLUS it raises money for the Kent Historical Society - details are to follow!
May 16th I have a special guest at Nighttown with me. His name is Kenny Harkins and he was Sinatra's accompanist for 9 years. Kenny has retired and lives right near me (Imagine that cause not many people live near where I live!) and I persuade him now and again to come out and 'play' - so he's coming to Nighttown on Friday May 16th - hope you can come and hear this guy tinkle the ivories - it is not to be missed.
On May 17th we're back at Anthes - check the calendar page on my web site for dates and times (link below) we are also back at The Blue Olive on May 24th.
July 6th brings the concert with the Akron Symphony at Lock 3 LIve and on July 25th I will return to COLUMBUS Zoo with the Columbus Jazz Orchestra on the 25th for the annual JazZoo concert which was an absolute blast last year.

If you are interested in studying music - if you're daughter or son wants to play in a band -then the Jam Session could be for you! This music school offers private lessons but also some unique programmes like the opportunity to be in a rock recital or play the steel drums!
I teach there on a Monday and Tuesday evening - so, if you or someone you know is wanting to learn how to sing - improve their performance skills, learn how to use a microphone or just enjoys singing - then give The Jam Session a call and they will book you in for a trial lesson.
