THE SHOW TO SEE this year.... and one I would love you to support if you feel you can is going to be in The Grand Lobby of the Akron Civic Theatre. For those of you who've been to the Civic you know how grand the Grand Lobby is - for those of you who've not had the pleasure..... I thoroughly recommend this as an experience NOT TO MISS!
Thursday April 22nd is the date to put on your calendar BUT there are only 100 seats and we'd like to see them full because.... ALL FUNDS RAISED are going to the Akron Civic so it continues on as one of only four atmospheric theatres left in the U.S.A. We are so luck to have one of our very own right here in Akron.
Divas will be the show of the night and for those of you who may have seen this show before - rest assured there are new songs and new Divas! Including the amazing Airmail Special Ella scat which brought Columbus audiences to their feet in January.....I'm still not sure how I sang it with two freshly cracked ribs (broken that very morning) but boy oh boy was that an exciting moment! With that theme in mind there will be free chocolate and deserts AND a rose for all the 'divas' or ladies if you prefer!! Could be a great girl's night out - could be that you could treat the lady of you life to a wonderful, elegant evening at the Akron Civic. Seating will be cabaret style, there will be a cash bar so you may sip wine as you listen to the show.....does it get much better?!!! Why yes! because the best musicians will be joining me in the shape of Rock Wehrmann, Bryan Thomas and Chris Baker.
