Helen's Slip Shows Again!........

Dear all,
I wanted to share with you this great original poem written by a dear friend and fan Jim who is at this moment sunning himself in Arizona. He and his partner Carol have invited me out to the sun - all in the name of recovery of coure - sun being good for cracked ribs according to Doctor Jim.
Enjoy this poem -Doug and I laughed our head's off!

Helen's Slip Shows Again.

Helen fell down the stairs
Her accidents came in pairs
The first tragic fall put a hole in the wall
She wouldn’t do it again, she swears

But she flew in the house a second time
Until she hit the steps she was fine
Her feet went out from under and her body flew asunder
And she bumped down the steps one more time

This time it wasn’t very funny
Broken ribs are not funny, Honey
Now she says don’t squeeze, it only hurts when I breathe
The ribs should heal by the time it gets sunny

Ah, but what was Hubby Doug to do?
Another slip and Helen could be through
So he rigged up a harness to restrain HHHHHer Highness
If she flew. Boo Hoo (tears) Wouldn’t you?

But Helen thinks the harness a bit much
With all its straps and hooks and such
She’ll be more careful next time, to slip again would be a crime
And she won’t relish getting around with a crutch

Thank you Jim!!

The evening will feature a bountiful array of Broadway Love songs from throughout the decades including music from shows such as Wicked, A Chorus Line, Carousel, Guys and Dolls, My Fair Lady, Les Miserables, Chicago, South Pacific, Kiss Me Kate and Mary Poppins. Songs include: Some Enchanted Evening, Too Darn Hot and What I Did for Love, If I Were A Bell, As Long As He Needs Me, My Funny Valentine and many more!
With Helen’s usual diverse mix of classic and contemporary song coupled with some cheeky British humor ‘My Heart Beats for Broadway’ will appeal to people in love – or people who simply love Broadway music.
