This has gone a little far!....
Hello all!
Okay okay i've been the butt of all the jokes over the last few weeks due to my 'incident' on the stairs! So many of my 'friends' have seen the Tom and Jerry hole in our dry wall from the first fall and have seized the opportunity (as i would have done!) to remind me how determined I am it seems to break my bones and in the process, wreck our house!
The broken stair is now replaced, the entire staircase re-painted and Doug has put new treads on too so all is well.
The ribs are healing but are taking longer than the stairs took to fix!! Doug is watching me CLOSELY to make sure I hold the hand-rail and walk down the stairs AT ALL TIMES. BUT, I fear things have gone too far because when I arrived home the other evening (and this is the absolute truth) I walked in a saw Doug attaching something to a wooden post at the top of the stairs. As I walked over for a closer inspection he deftly clipped a large hook to the belt on my jeans. The hook was attached at the other end to this large, heavy weight metal object which was attached securely to the wooden post.
Doug grinned wickedly and instructed me to go ahead and WALK down the stairs. If I walked slowly enough then the large metal gadget would release a fabric strap attached at the other end to the hook on my belt and all was well BUT, if I walked TOO FAST then the strap immediately locked preventing me from going any further, leaving me stranded and safely attached on whatever stair I'd managed to get to!! Oh you think that's funny do you?! Well I'd like to extend a big THANK YOU to Joe for providing this safety harness to Doug for my use!! Joe YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE !!! :-) and I think I get the message! I'm walking AND holding the hand-rail I PROMISE :-)

For those of you who haven't already got your tickets for the 12th or 13th then I strongly advise you to get them because as of this week we are over two thirds sold. 'My Heart Belongs to Broadway' is going to be a wonderful show and I'd love you all to see this fabulous Studio theatre -it is one of the nicest performance spaces I've sung in where the audience get up close and personal to both me and my musicians.

What is Broadway without it’s never ending parade of fabulous love songs? And what could make a more romantic evening than to hear those classic love songs performed by Helen and her wonderful trio of musicians within the intimate setting of Stocker Art Center’s Studio theatre.
The evening will feature a bountiful array of Broadway Love songs from throughout the decades including music from shows such as Wicked, A Chorus Line, Carousel, Guys and Dolls, My Fair Lady, Les Miserables, Chicago, South Pacific, Kiss Me Kate and Mary Poppins.
