Typo, interview, Kennedys and Divas!

Good morning to you all!
And firstl a big thank you to those who braved it to The River on Saturday night. Despite the rain we remained dry and warm...ish but most of all we had a good time :-)
Many of you have been in touch with me as there was indeed a typo in last weeks email that you all noticed!!!
The Sheraton is going to be FRIDAY OCT 16TH whilst the L'Chaim! cabaret will be SATURDAY OCT 17TH. I was just checking to see if you were paying attention!!!! Apologies for the confusion.
I'm counting the days till I fly to England. Sadly Doug is not coming this time but I am going to be singing whilst i'm there. Many moons ago I met a wonderful piano player named Mike Capocci and he together with his trio introduced me to the style of music i'm singing now. I was a young whipper snapper and didn't know much, nor was I particularly good but he was patient....kind of, and let me come to his gigs and 'sit in' as we call it. Well he's now 80 years old and is still playing at a marvelous venue called The Green Man - it's a pub not far from Norwich (my home town) but it's a large pub with an extra added extension to house the band and audience and on Tuesday Oct 27th i'm going to once again join forces with those same gentlemen that put me on the path i'm on now. I haven't seen them for about 20 years!!!! The newspaper are running an article on my 'return home' and I have a radio interview on Monday the 26th with the BBC. The interview is at 3.15pm UK time which is 10.15 Ohio time so if you would like to tune in then i've posted a link below - you can go to their web site and then click on 'Listen Live'! Isn't technology marvelous!!
I visited Kennedys this past week which is where the 3 cabarets are going to be in October. I loved it! You walk in the lobby of the Ohio Theatre and go down a sweeping staircase and there it is - a delightful room all burgundy table cloths and brick, it reminds me a lot of Ronnie Scotts (the famous jazz club) in London. There will be a cash bar and the room will be set cabaret-style, i.e. you'll sit at tables so you can enjoy your drinks whilst you listen to the music. It's cavernous, cozy and perfect for this kind of music program. I've posted a picture below but bear in mind in the picture the room is NOT set cabaret-style!.
This Saturday will be the first of the cabaret series and the return of the ever popular DIVAS! including songs such as Wind Beneath My Wings, Come Rain or Come Shine, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, Evergreen and Downtown.
Have a wonderful week and i hope to see you soon!
