News from Helen!Hello to you allI'm afraid i'm still suffering terribly from laryngitis -it's been going on for about 2 weeks now and i've forgotten what it was like to have a normal voice - please send me lots of 'good-singing voice' thoughts - thank you so much:-) So i've started horse riding again and i'm LOVING it. I absolutely love those four legged friends and the horse who I am re-learning to jump on is called Butch aka 'the dinosaur!!! He has two gears...slow and stop and is happy to do either! BUT he's going to make me into a good rider if my leg muscles ever get over the shock! We did manage to reach a canter yesterday and popped over a tiny cross pole -i'm not sure who was more shocked, him or me!! What's great about him is that he's a real school master and wouldn't hurt a fly. Infact, if you fell off him he'd be the sort of horse that would say 'how on earth did you fall of me?!' So, if you see me walking around looking like John Wayne...you know why!! |

Bring your lawn chairs - start time is 7pm Sunday August 9th - we perform our Diva's show with 5 piece band at Ashland in the park at the Guy memorial band shell. More details will follow. Sunday August 16th - Divas! with the Dave Stevens Big Band at Bemus Point's Floating Stage - bring your lawn chairs. This is an fabulous way to spend an afternoon!! Sunday August 23rd - finale concert and fireworks outside at the Packard concert hall with the Packard Concert Band - another great way to spend a Sunday early evening for you AND the kids!!
